All WHEP National participants are invited
to submit an essay for the 2009 WHEP Essay Contest. Essays should be turned in
when you arrive for registration at the contest. Please follow the submission
guidelines which are included in this information.
This year’s essay model is Shellie Rushing Tomlinson’s Remembering Bull Run
Road. The essay is used here with the permission of the author.
The WHEP National Committee is pleased to announce there is an anonymous donor
who has donated prize monies of $500 to be divided between the winning essays.
There will be one overall winner and at least one honorable mention.
Judging of the essays will take place during the WHEP National Contest and the
winner will be announced at the awards banquet. Judging criteria are included
in this announcement.
